Turcite® designates a series of tailor-made, high quality thermoplastics that have been developed for use as guide elements (bearings, bushings, etc.) Turcite® bearings are used to guide pistons and rods in cylinders to provide a good radial loading capacity (15 N/mm2 max dynamic). Turcite® materials are well known for their low friction, heat resistance, wide temperature range performance, high chemical resistance and excellent wear characteristics. The temperature range for Turcite® materials is approximately -60°C to 150°C. Applications utilizing either Hydraulics or Pneumatics can benefit from the use of Turcite® products. Piston and rod applications with oscillating, rotary, or helical movement can benefit from the use of Turcite® Slydrings®.
